Bacon and Turnip Pizza with Arugula
Ingredients
- Ingredients
- 5 grams fresh Yeast
- 200 grams Pastry flour (plus more for the work surface)
- salt
- 2 Tbsps sunflower oil
- 2 red onions
- 2 Turnip
- 80 grams sliced Bacon
- 100 grams Sour cream
- freshly ground peppers
- 1 Arugula
Preparation steps
In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the dough hook, dissolve the yeast in 70 ml (approximately 1/3 cup) lukewarm water. Add the flour, 1 pinch of salt and the oil and knead well. Shape the dough into a ball, cover and let rise in a warm place for 2 hours.
Peel the onions and cut into rings. Peel and thinly slice the turnips. Cut the bacon strips into quarters.
Preheat the oven to 220°C (approximately 425°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a floured surface, roll the dough to a large thin circle and place on the baking sheet. Spread the sour cream over the dough and cover with the turnip slices. Top with the bacon and onions, season with salt and pepper and bake until the dough is crisp and the bacon is cooked through, 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, rinse the arugula, shake dry and sprinkle over the pizza before serving.
