These baked pears are delicious and satisfy the sweet tooth but contain less than 300 calories per portion.
If you don't have pecans, walnuts make a good substitute.

- Ingredients
- 4 Pear
- 2 Tbsps lemon juice
- 5 Tbsps coarsely chopped Pecan
- 4 Tbsps Golden raisins
- 2 Tbsps honey
- 2 tsps light brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp melted butter
- ⅔ cup Apple juice
Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 350°F. Grease a baking dish.
2.
Peel, halve and core the pears, removing enough core to make a nice hollow inside the pear. Brush the pears with some of the lemon juice and place in the baking dish.
3.
Mix together the pecans, raisins, honey, sugar, cinnamon, and butter to form a paste.
4.
Spoon into the pear hollows. Pour the apple juice around the pears. Cook for about 30 minutes, until the pears are tender, basting the pears with the juices once or twice during cooking.
5.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
