Broccoli is one of the few types of cabbage that is good for almost everyone. In addition, it boosts our immune system and strengthens our defences by providing plenty of vitamin C. The milk and cream provide us with bone-strengthening calcium and the eggs score points with lots of blood-forming iron and wound-healing zinc. The protein from these ingredients also boosts the metabolism and satiates wonderfully
. you should preferably use wholemeal pasta, because this provides many minerals and many digestive fibres. Good for the intestine and for our well-being.
To increase the vegetable content, you can add an additional 300 grams of cauliflower or Romanesco to the casserole. If you want to enjoy the gratin vegan or vegetarian, use soy cream or oat cuisines instead of dairy products. Instead of ham, it also tastes great with smoked tofu or cooked lentils.
