- 3 allspice (or peppercorns)
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 4 Cardamom
- 2 cloves
- 1 inch fresh ginger
- 1 Star anise
- 2 tsps black Tea (such as Assam)
- 9 ozs hemp milk
- 2 Tbsps brown sugar (to taste)
Preparation steps

Place the allspice berries, cinnamon stick, cardamom seeds, cloves, ginger and star anise in a saucepan with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and add the black tea. Let steep for 3-5 minutes. Strain and pour into mugs. Heat the hemp milk in a saucepan or the microwave and froth with a milk frother or by whisking vigorously. Layer the milk onto the tea and serve. Sweeten with brown sugar to taste.
