12 ozs Flank Steak
2 Tbsps sesame oil (may substitute peanut oil)
1 onion (peeled and cut into strips)
1 green Bell pepper (washed; seeded and cut into thin strips)
1 red Bell pepper (washed; seeded and cut into thin strips)
2 cloves garlic cloves (peeled and minced)
¼ cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
¼ cup Red wine vinegar
¼ cup water
2 tsps sugar
2 Tbsps cold water
1 tsp Corn starch

Preparation steps

Rinse beef and pat dry with paper towels. Cut across the grain into thin 3-inch long strips. Set aside.

Heat 1 tablespoon sesame oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the onions, peppers and garlic until tender-crisp, about 4 to 5 minutes. Remove vegetables from wok and set aside.

Heat remaining oil and stir-fry beef strips until browned, about 3 to 4 minutes. Add soy sauce, vinegar, 1/4 cup water, and sugar, bring to a boil, and reduce heat. Simmer, stirring frequently for 5 to 6 minutes. Stir in cooked vegetables and cook 2 minutes longer.

Combine cold water and cornstarch, add to wok and cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes. Serve.
