- 1.333 cups Chocolate couverture (64-75% cocoa solids)
- ½ cup butter
- 4 eggs
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup ground Hazelnuts
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- In addition
- butter (for the pan)
- powdered sugar

Preparation steps

Chop the couverture chocolate and melt over a bain-marie with the butter, then set aside. Beat the egg yolks and sugar until foamy and stir in the melted chocolate. Mix the flour with the ground hazelnuts and baking powder and stir into the chocolate mixture. Mix well. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in.

Turn the mixture into a greased springform pan and bake in a preheated oven (180°C) for about 30 minutes. Take out of the oven, cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then take out of the pan and let cool completely.

Draw a soccer ball stencil on card, cut out and lay on top of the cake. Dust the cake with icing sugar and carefully remove the stencil.
