250 grams mixed mussels (such as clams or mussels)
250 grams shrimp
2 onions
2 garlic cloves
1 yellow Bell pepper
2 Tbsps olive oil
250 grams Paella rice
150 milliliters dry white wine
salt
freshly ground peppers
500 milliliters Chicken broth
1 sm can Saffron (0.1 grams or .004 ounces)
150 grams Peas
1 (organic) lemon
200 grams Papaya

Preparation steps

Rinse and peel clams. Discard unopened clams. Rinse and drain shrimp. Peel and mince onions and garlic. Rinse peppers, cut in half, remove seeds and ribs and dice.

Heat oil in a paella pan and sauté onions and garlic until translucent. Add rice and sauté, then deglaze with wine. Season with salt and pepper. A little broth and cook for about 5 minutes. Dissolve saffron in 2 tablespoons of hot broth. Pour into pan and cook for about 15 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

Add peas and, if necessary, add more broth. Roast for 15 minutes, until liquid is absorbed. During the last 5 minutes of cooking time, add shrimp and clams.

Rinse lemon with hot water, dry and cut into pieces. Peel and julienne papaya.

Remove paella from oven and distribute onto plates. Serve with lemon and papaya.
