- 600 grams Pastry flour
- 150 grams sugar
- 150 grams honey
- 325 milliliters milk
- 150 milliliters vegetable oil
- 2 packets Baking powder
- 2 Tbsps Cocoa
- 1 Tbsp Gingerbread spice
- 120 grams peeled Nut (as desired, i.e macadamia, almonds, brazil nut)
- 100 grams very coarsely chopped Dried Fruit (i.e apricots, plums)
- 75 grams ground Poppy seeds
- 4 Tbsps powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- Poppy seeds (to sprinkle)
Preparation steps

Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Heat the milk slightly and dissolve the honey in it. Pour the milk, honey, and the oil into the dry ingredients and mix together thoroughly. Fold in the dried fruit and nuts.

Line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Transfer the batter into the baking tin, smooth the surface and bake at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for about 45-60 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick. Turn out of the pan and leave to cool.

Stir the powdered sugar with a little lemon juice until smooth and spread the icing on the cake. Sprinkle with poppy seeds and let harden.
To serve, cut into slices.
