- ½ cup butter
- 2 chicken (jointed)
- 2 Tbsps honey
- 5 Tbsps soy sauce
- freshly ground peppers
- 4 Tbsps Sesame seeds
- ½ cup tomato Ketchup
- Tabasco sauce
- Plum wine
- 8 sprigs parsley
- sweet Chili sauce (bought)
Preparation steps
1.
Melt 50 g butter, stir in the honey and soy sauce and season with pepper.

Marinate half of the chicken pieces in this marinade. Melt the rest of the butter, stir in the ketchup and season well with Tabasco. Put the remaining chicken pieces into this mixture and marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour.

Take the honey-marinated chicken pieces out of the marinade, drain slightly and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Place in a baking dish.

Drain the other chicken pieces and place in another baking dish. Put into an oven preheated to 220°C (200° fan) | 425F | gas 7 for about 20 minutes, brushing the meat frequently with the marinades.

At the end of cooking time brush the chicken pieces with the remaining marinade, cover the baking dishes with aluminium foil, turn the oven temperature down to 100°C | 215F | gas low and leave in the oven for a further 20 minutes.

Then take out of the oven, heat the oven grill to 250°C | 475F | gas 9, remove the aluminium foil and grill the chicken pieces for 5 minutes.
7.
Take the chicken pieces out of the baking dishes, deglaze the dishes with a little plum wine, mix and check the seasoning.
8.
Spoon a little of the sauce onto each plate and put three chicken pieces on each plate. Garnish with parsley and serve with sweet chilli sauce.
