- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 1 clove garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 1 Tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 2 cups canned Tomatoes (peeled and chopped)
- 1 tsp ground paprika
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 packet Puff pastry (from the chiller aisle)
- 20 leaves parsley (to garnish)
Preparation steps

Heat the oven to 200°C (180°C in a fan oven), 400°F, gas 6 and line a baking tray with grease-proof paper.

Fry the onion and garlic in hot oil and season with salt, ground black pepper and ginger. Add the tomatoes, season with paprika and sugar, and cook until the liquid has evaporated. Leave to cool.

Meanwhile, roll out the pastry and cut out hearts. Transfer to the baking tray and bake for around 10 minutes (middle shelf). Remove from the oven and cool slightly.

Spread the tomato mixture over the pastry hearts. Garnish each with a leaf of parsley and serve.
