Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F).

Peel the onions and quarter lengthwise. Add 2 tablespoons of oil in a hot pan and cook the sausages and onions until brown. Turn off the heat and drizzle the remaining oil in the pan. Place the pan in the oven for 5-10 minutes.

Meanwhile, place the flour and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Make a well in the center and beat the eggs into it. Mix everything into a smooth dough and add half the milk. Then mix in he remaining milk and stir well. Remove the hot baking pan from the oven and place the onions in it. Pour the dough on top and press in the sausages. Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes more.

If the batter has risen and it has a crispy, golden crust, the dish is ready. Serve with the fresh oregano.
