Ingredients

for
6
For the spare ribs
1 onion
1 garlic clove
2 kilograms Pork ribs
For the sauce
1 onion
1 garlic clove
2 Tbsps olive oil
100 milliliters tomato puree
50 milliliters Ketchup
100 milliliters honey
60 milliliters Orange juice
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
peppers
ground paprika
Tabasco sauce (as desired)
Beef broth (as needed)

Preparation steps

1.

For the spare ribs, boil pork in a large pot of water. Peel onion and garlic, cut in half and add to pot. Let ribs simmer for 20-30 minutes.

2.

For the sauce, peel onion and garlic and finely chop. Saute in a hot pan with oil until translucent. Add remaining ingredients, season and simmer for a bit. If sauce is too thick, pour in a little broth. Preheat grill.

3.

Drain cooked ribs and dab dry. Brush on sauce and cook for about 20 minutes, adding more sauce as needed. Serve garnished with thyme.
