- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup Corn starch
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- caster sugar
Preparation steps

Heat the oven to 150°C (130° fan) 300°F gas 2. Butter a round cake tin or shortbread mould

Sift the flour, cornflour and icing sugar into a mixing bowl. Knead in the butter and mix to a soft dough.

Pat the dough out into a round about 2.5 cm|1"thick to fit the cake tin. Prick the top with a fork.
4.
Bake for about 40-60 minutes, until cooked but still pale. Sprinkle with caster sugar while still warm. Cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then carefully remove and place on a wire rack to cool completely.
