- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 0.333 cup caster sugar
- ¾ cup butter (cubed)
- 12 candy-coated chocolates
Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 180C (160C in a fan oven) 350F, gas 4.
2.
Put the flour, sugar and butter together in a processor and blend together to make crumbs. Pulse a little more to form into a ball.
3.
Turn the dough onto a sheet of non-stick baking paper. Using a lightly floured rolling pin and roll out the dough until it's 0.5cm thick.

Use a 10cm/ 4inch star cutter, dipped in flour and stamp out 10 star shapes, carefully removing the trimmings from around the sides, but leaving the biscuits on the paper.
5.
Re-roll the trimmings on some non-stick baking paper.
6.
Put the biscuits and the paper onto 2 baking trays. Press a sugar coated sweet into the center of each biscuit.
7.
Bake for 10 minutes until pale golden. Cool and store in an airtight tin.
