- 2 cups sheep cheese (crumbled)
- 5 eggs
- 3 Tbsps Sour cream
- 1 Tbsp Dill (chopped)
- 14 ozs phyllo pastry
- butter (melted)
- 1 cup milk
- ½ tsp Baking powder
Preparation steps
1.
Grease the cake tin and heat the oven to 180°C (200°C in a fan oven), 350°F, gas 4.

Mix together the cheese, three of the eggs, sour cream and dill.
3.
Brush 2 filo pasty sheets with the butter and lay them on top of each other.
4.
Thinly spread the cheese mixture in the middle and roll into a long thin tube.
5.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until there is no more mixture left. Then form all the tubes into a large spiral inside the cake tin by simply pushing the ends of the tubes close together.
6.
Brush with melt butter. Then mix together the milk, the remaining eggs and the baking powder and pour it over the baniza.
7.
Bake for 35-45 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the tin and serve.
