Tofu Pizza
Ingredients
- For the topping
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 4 Tbsps olive oil
- 300 grams Tofu
- 2 Tbsps soy sauce
- 10 Olives
- 10 Basil
- 500 grams Tomatoes
- salt

- Pastry flour (for the table)
- Fat (for the pan)
- For the dough
- 200 grams Pastry flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 100 grams Tofu
- 3 Tbsps olive oil
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 egg
Preparation steps
For the dough: Mix the flour with the baking powder. Press the tofu through a sieve. Mound the flour on the work surface or in a bowl and make a well in the center. Add the tofu, oil, soy sauce, and egg in the middle. Quickly knead into a smooth dough. Cover the dough with a little flour and roll out to the size of the pizza pan. Grease the pizza pan and line with the dough.
Prebake the dough for about 10 minutes at 220°C (approximately 425°F).
For the toppings: Peel the onion and garlic and cut into thin rings. Heat the olive oil and saute both until translucent. Cut the tofu into 3 mm (approximately 1/8 inch) thick slices and place in a bowl. Sprinkle with soy sauce and oil. Coarsely chop the olives, and make sure the pits are gone.
Sprinkle the basil and olives over the tofu. Turn the tofu into the mixture and let soak. Rinse the tomatoes and cut into slices. Spread over the prebaked dough. Distribute the tofu over the pizza and drizzle the marinade over it as well. Top with the onion and garlic rings and cook for about 20 minutes in the oven. Serve once finished.
