Trio of Citrus Granitas

Citrus fruits have an incredible amount of vitamin C, which can boost the immune system and help fights against infections and illnesses. It's especially important to eat plenty of vitamin C around the winter time, when colds and flus are very common.
Simply leave out the tequila for a non-alcoholic variation of this recipe.
Ingredients
- Grapefruit Granita
- 3 organic Grapefruit
- 1 organic lemon (halved and scooped out to make cups)
- 10 ozs sugar
- Tequila (1 tablespoon) Optional
- Clementines Granita
- 12 organic Clementine (or mandarin oranges)
- 2 Clementine (halved and scooped out to make cups)
- juice of lemons
- 10 ozs sugar
- Tequila (1 tablespoon) Optional
Preparation steps
To make the grapefruit granita: Squeeze the grapefruits. Heat the sugar with 14 ounces of warm water until the sugar dissolves to make a syrup. Add the grapefruit juice and 1 tablespoon tequila to the syrup.
Pour the granita in a bowl and put in the freezer for 4 hours, stirring and scraping every hour to make an icy granita.
To make the clementine granita: Squeeze the clementines. Heat the sugar with 14 ounces of warm water until the sugar dissolves to make a syrup. Add the clementine juice and 1 tablespoon tequila to the syrup. Freeze as for the grapefruit granita.
To make the pomelos granita: squeeze the grapefruits. Heat the sugar with 14 ounces of warm water until the sugar dissolves to make a syrup. Add the pomelos juice and 1 tablespoon tequila to the syrup. Freeze as for the grapefruit granita.
Scoop or spoon the granitas into the citrus shell cups and serve at once.
