- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 large Orange (finely grated zest)
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1.333 cups sliced almonds

1 Small skillet, 1 Small bowl, 1 Small plate, 1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Peeler, 1 Mortar
Preparation steps

Heat the oven to 190°C (170° fan) 375°F gas 5. Line 2 large baking trays with non-stick baking paper.

Beat the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until soft and creamy. Beat in the orange zest
3.
Gradually beat in the flour and salt until the mixture begins to form a dough. Knead lightly until smooth.
4.
Divide the dough into 30 pieces and roll each piece into a ball. Place well apart on the baking trays and press each ball lightly to flatten slightly. Press a few flaked almonds into each biscuit.
5.
Bake for 10-15 minutes until light golden. Cool on the baking trays for a few minutes, then place on a wire rack to cool completely.
