- 600 grams onions
- 50 grams butter
- 800 milliliters Beef broth
- 150 milliliters dry Red wine
- 1 pinch freshly ground Nutmeg
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- 1 pinch ground Caraway
- 100 grams grated Raclette Cheese
- 1 bunch parsley
- 12 Baguette
- 2 garlic cloves
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
Preparation steps
1.
Peel onions and cut into fine strips. Heat butter in a saucepan and cook onions until soft. Add broth, wine, nutmeg, thyme and cumin and simmer soup for 25 minutes.

The Preheat the grill.

Toast baguette slices under a broiler until golden, watching carefully. Rub slices with peeled garlic cloves and squeeze garlic through garlic press into soup.

Season soup with salt and pepper. Top bread slices with cheese and toast under a broiler until cheese is melted and golden, watching carefully. Pour soup into bowls.

Serve soup accompanied by cheese bread.
