Ingredients
1 kilogram sour Apple (such as Boskop)
How healthy are the main ingredients?
Apple

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse and peel the apples and remove the cores. Cut the apples into thin slices about 0.5 cm thick (approximately 1/4 inch).

2.

Thread onto wooden sticks and line up in the oven. Dry out overnight at about 40°C (approximately 100ºF) with the air circulating. Alternatively, thread onto string and leave to dry for several days at room temperature (of course, a dehydrator machine may also be used.)

When the rings are dry and tough, they're done.
