Ingredients
for
4
- Ingredients
- 2 tsps olive oil
- ¼ cup finely chopped onions
- ¼ cup finely chopped, red Bell pepper
- ¼ cup Mushrooms (finely chopped)
- 4 cloves garlic cloves (peeled and minced)
- 24 ozs ground Sirloin steak
- 1 Tbsp fresh parsley (finely chopped)
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Sea salt (to taste)
- freshly ground Black pepper (to taste)
Preparation steps
1.
Preheat grill to medium heat.
2.
Heat olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onions, peppers, mushrooms and garlic; saute, stirring frequently until tender, about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
3.
In a mixing bowl, mix ground sirloin with remaining ingredients. Using your clean hands, work quickly to form 4 flat patties and make a well in the center. Spoon the sauteed vegetable mixture into the well and mold the ground sirloin around the vegetables so that the vegetables are encased in the center. Sprinkle to taste with salt and pepper.
4.
Arrange the burgers on the hot grill grate and grill turning once, until cooked through. Use an instant-read meat thermometer to check for doneness, burgers should be at least 160º F. Serve.
