250 milliliters beer
750 milliliters Beef broth

Preparation steps

1.

Finely chop one of the onions and cut the other into thin rings. Sautée the finely chopped onion in 1 tablespoon of butter. Cut the pretzel into slices, add to the pan and cook briefly. Pour in beer and beef broth and let simmer for about 20 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Fry the onion rings in remaining butter until crispy. Serve the soup sprinkled with the onion rings and chives.
