- 500 grams Pastry flour
- 1 packet Dry yeast
- 125 grams sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 4 drops Cooking oil (lemon)
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 egg
- 200 milliliters lukewarm milk
- 100 grams melted butter (and cooled)
Preparation steps
1.
For the rolls: mix flour with dry yeast in a bowl. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon oil, salt, egg, milk and butter. Process with the dough hook of the mixer until smooth. Cover and let rise for about 30 minutes in a warm place until the dough has increased visibly.
2.
Knead dough on a floured surface. Divide into 12 equal portions. Roll into balls.
3.
Grease a baking dish with melted butter. Place dough balls in the dish closely but without touching. Mix egg yolk and milk and brush on dough. Bake in preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for 20-30 minutes. Serve with vanilla sauce or compote.
