- 1 kilogram potatoes
- 2 garlic cloves
- 50 grams butter
- 3 Tbsps milk
- 600 grams young Cantal cheese (Cantal frais)
Preparation steps

Peel, rinse and cut potatoes into slightly smaller pieces. Peel garlic. Cook potatoes and garlic in salted boiling water, about 25 minutes. Drain. With a potato masher, mash potatoes with butter and milk until smooth. Grate cheese and stir into potatoes. Over low heat, cook potatoes, stirring with a wooden spoon, until cheese melts.

Serve mashed potatoes with a green salad, if desired.
