175 grams Pastry flour
1 tsp Baking powder
50 grams cocoa powder
125 grams brown sugar
4 Tbsps Coconut flakes
4 Tbsps chopped Hazelnuts
150 grams cold butter (cubed)
1 egg (beaten)

Preparation steps

Combine the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, brown sugar, coconut flakes and chopped hazelnuts in a large bowl. Make a well in the center and add the egg. Sprinkle the cubed butter over the top and mix everything together using a pastry cutter or two forks. Quickly knead everything together with your hands to form a smooth dough. Shape the dough into a roll about 5 cm (approximately 2 inches) in diameter, wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Slice the roll of dough into 1 cm (approximately 3/8 inch) thick slices and place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
