Curry with Beef and Nectarines

- 250 grams Basmati rice
- 600 grams Sliced beef
- 2 onions
- 2 Nectarine
- vegetable oil (for frying)
- 2 Tbsps Curry powder
- 200 milliliters Beef broth
- 200 milliliters Coconut milk
- 4 allspice
- ½ tsp Cumin
- ½ tsp peppercorns
- 200 grams Snow peas
Preparation steps
Cook rice according to package instructions.
Rinse the beef and pat dry. Peel the onions and chop finely. Rinse nectarines, cut in half, remove seeds and cut into wedges. Fry nectarines briefly in a saucepan in 2 tablespoons oil and take out of the pan. Add beef and onions and sear until browned. Sprinkle with curry and pour in broth and coconut milk. Crush the allspice, cumin and peppercorns in a mortar and add to the pan. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, about 25 minutes. Rinse peas, trim and sauté in a pan with 2 tablespoons of hot oil. Season with salt, pour in a little water, cover and simmer until done for 2-3 minutes. Finally, add the nectarines and peas to the saucepan, let stand briefly and season with salt. Serve with the rice.
