- 12 lbs whole Turkey ((approximately 5.5 kg)
- 30 ozs Bread (cut in 3/4″ cubes)
- 12 ozs Smart Balance® Buttery Spread Original
- 4 ozs onions (finely chopped)
- 1 oz fresh parsley (finely chopped)
- 5 ozs ham (finely chopped)
- 4 ozs Walnut (finely chopped)
- 1 Tbsp fresh rosemary (chopped)
- salt (to taste)
- peppers (to taste)
- 2 Tbsps Smart Balance® Buttery Spread Original (melted)
Preparation steps

Preheat oven to 425° F.

Place bread cubes in a large mixing bowl. Melt 6 ounce of Smart Balance® in a sauté pan. Add the onions and parsley. Cook for about 5 minutes. Add this mixture to the bread cubes. Stir in the ham, walnuts, rosemary, salt and pepper, and 1/2 of the melted Smart Balance®. Mix thoroughly.

After rinsing and patting dry, stuff the turkey lightly. Truss the bird, and using a pastry brush, brush the remaining melted Smart Balance® over the turkey. Roast for 15 minutes at 425° F and then turn down the heat to 325° F. Continue to roast the turkey 20 minutes per pound or until a meat thermometer inserted into the breast reads 175° F. Baste turkey during the roasting with pan drippings.

Once turkey is cooked allow to sit for 15 minutes before removing the stuffing. Carve and serve.
