600 grams skinless fish fillets (such as cod)

1 garlic clove
2 Tbsps chopped fresh Basil
2 eggs
100 grams White bread crumbs

2 Tbsps ground Hazelnuts

Preparation steps

Rinse the fish, pat dry and coarsely chop. Mince finely in a food processor and place in a bowl. Peel the shallot and garlic and finely dice both. Add together to the fish with the basil and 1 egg and enough breadcrumbs to make the mixture easy to handle. Season with salt, lemon juice and pepper and shape into 16 small balls.

Coat with flour. Whisk the rest of the egg and dredge the balls in it. Mix the remaining crumbs with nuts and coat the fish balls. Fry in the hot oil (170°C) (approximately 325°F) 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and serve with desired dips.
