30 Lychee
175 grams cornstarch
2 tsps Baking powder
2 egg whites
1 Tbsp Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Preparation steps

1.

Heat coconut oil to 180°C (approximately 350°F) in a deep fryer or large pot.

Peel and core lychees, leaving fruits whole.

Whisk together cornstarch, baking powder and 175 ml (approximately 3/4 cup) cold water until smooth. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold into cornstarch mixture. In batches, dip lychees in batter and fry in hot oil, about 2 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Serve immediately, sprinkled with sesame seeds.
