- 400 grams chickpeas
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 onion
- 2 Tbsps White bread crumbs
- 1 Tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- 1 sprig cilantro
- olive oil
- vegetable oil (for cooking)
- salt
- freshly ground pepper
- ground cumin
- ground coriander
- parsley
- Yogurt dip
- 250 grams Yogurt (0.1% fat)
- 3 Tbsps Tahini (Sesame paste)
- 1 Tbsp honey
- ½ tsp grated, organic Orange peel
- ½ tsp allspice
- ½ tsp cinnamon
Preparation steps

For the falafel: soak chickpeas overnight in cold water. Drain. Peel onion and garlic and chop finely. Combine with chickpeas.

Puree chickepas and combine with chopped cilantro, olive oil, parsley and breadcrumbs. Season with cumin powder, salt, pepper and ground coriander. Shape into small balls. Heat oil in a pan and cook falafel, few pieces at a time, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and keep warm.

Serve falafel with yogurt dip.

For the yogurt dip: whisk yogurt with tahini, honey and orange zest, season with allspice and cinnamon.
