- For the burgers
- 4 cups canned chickpeas (rinsed and drained)
- 2 cloves garlic cloves (chopped)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 2 tsps ground cilantro
- 1 handful baby Spinach
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 4 Tbsps flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 ¼ cups Gorgonzola
- vegetable oil (for frying)
- To serve
- 4 Bread roll
- Baby spinach
- Pomegranate molasses (syrup)
- Lettuce
Preparation steps

For the burgers: put all the ingredients except the oil, into a food processor or blender and blend until fairly smooth. Shape into 4-6 patties with your hands.

Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the patties, then fry for 3 minutes on each side until lightly golden. Drain on absorbent kitchen paper.

Heat the grill.

Crumble 3/4 of the cheese on top of the burgers and place under the grill until the cheese has melted.
5.
Split the rolls in half and arrange baby spinach leaves on the bases. Crumble the remaining cheese on top and drizzle lightly with pomegranate molasses. Place the burgers on top and top with lettuce leaves. Replace the tops of the rolls and serve immediately.
