- ¾ cup unsalted butter
- 3 Tbsps powdered sugar
- ½ tsp Almond extract
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 3 Tbsps Corn starch
- 6 glace Candied cherry (halved)
Preparation steps

Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Line a large baking tray with non-stick baking paper.
2.
Beat the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until soft and creamy. Beat in the almond extract.
3.
Sift in the flour and cornflour and mix until blended.
4.
Spoon into a piping bag fitted with a large star-shaped nozzle and pipe 12 stars onto the baking tray. Place a cherry half on top of each, pressing in lightly.
5.
Bake for about 12 minutes, until pale golden. Cool on the baking trays for a few minutes, then place on a wire rack to cool completely.
