Mix the flour, almonds, sugar and cinnamon. Cut the butter into small cubes and process into the flour mixture. Chop the cherries and stir into the flour mixture.

Place the wafer cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Top each wafer with the cherry mixture. Bake for about 15 minutes. Remove, let cool and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
