400 milliliters crushed Tomatoes (canned)
50 milliliters Whipped cream

Preparation steps

Cook the gnocchi according to package directions in salted water, then drain. Peel and chop the onion and garlic. Heat the butter and olive oil in a saucepan, and sauté the onions and garlic until soft.

Add the tomatoes and cream. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Cook over low heat, for about 5 minutes. Rinse the chives, shake dry, and slice thinly.

Divide the gnocchi onto plates, and top with the tomato sauce. Garnish with the chives and basil.
