16 ozs water
1 pink Grapefruit
1 bottle mineral water (fizzy - or soda water)
6 slices fresh ginger (each about 1/8th" thick)
7 ozs freshly squeezed lemon juice
¼ Grapefruit (sliced, for garnish)
pink Food coloring (optional)

Preparation steps

1.

Cut the ginger root into smaller slices and add to a pot with the sugar and water. Bring to a boil, remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.

2.

Squeeze in the grapefruit and lemon juice, allow to steep for 15 minutes and then remove ginger slices. Pour in the mineral water and add some coloring. Allow to cool completely in the refrigerator.

3.

Serve over ice and decorated with grapefruit slices. Alternatively, store in bottles in the refrigerator.
