- 1 Tbsp Oil
- 4 ½ cups stewing Beef (cubed)
- 2 cloves garlic cloves (crushed)
- 3 cups small onions
- 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsps tomato puree
- 2 Tbsps dark brown sugar
- ⅞ cup Greek Red wine
- 1.333 cups Beef stock
- 1 Tbsp Red wine vinegar
- 2 bay leaves
- ground Cumin
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- peppers (to taste)
- 3 cups cherry Tomatoes

Normal Cooking: Follow the recipe from step 2 to the end of step 4. Transfer the mixture to a large pan and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for about 1 1/2 hours until the beef is tender, adding the whole tomatoes for the last 30 minutes of cooking.
Preparation steps

Preheat the slow cooker if necessary – see manufacturer’s instructions.

Heat the oil in a frying pan (skillet) and brown the meat in batches. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Add the garlic and onions to the pan and cook for about 5 minutes until lightly browned.
4.
Stir in the flour, then mix in the wine and beef stock. Add the remaining ingredients, except for the tomatoes and stir well.
5.
Put the meat and any juices into the slow cooker pot and pour over the hot wine mixture. Put the whole tomatoes on top.
6.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours until the beef is tender.
