Preparation steps

1.

Rinse, trim and cut beans into pieces. In a pot, combine beans and broth. Cook until tender, 7-10 minutes.

2.

In a bowl, combine ground meat, Worcestershire sauce and barbecue sauce. Peel and dice onion. Peel garlic and press in a garlic press. Rinse pepper, remove seeds and ribs, and cut into cubes. Add pepper to the beans. Rinse thyme, shake dry and strip leaves from stems. Finely chop leaves and add to ground meat mixture.

3.

In a pan, fry meat mixture in melted butter until brown and crumbly. Add onion and garlic and fry 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in tomato paste, sugar and beans, along with their cooking liquid. Stir to combine. Bring to a boil again. Serve topped with sour cream, pickled chile, dried herbs and thyme.
