1 Tbsp good-quality olive oil
¼ medium, green Bell pepper (rinsed; trimmed and finely minced)
1 rib Celery (rinsed and finely minced)
2 scallions (cleaned; trimmed and finely minced)
16 ozs raw shrimp (peeled; deveined and rinsed)
16 ozs Italian sausage
½ Tbsp Cajun seasoning (McCormick® recommended)
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
4 Hamburger bun (split)

Preparation steps

Heat oil in a large skillet, set over medium heat. Saute the green peppers, celery and onions until soft, about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Preheat grill to high heat.

Pat the shrimp dry, set aside 4 to 6 whole shrimp to use as garnish, Finely chop remaining shrimp.

Remove sausage from casing and crumble over a large bowl. Add the chopped shrimp, Cajun seasoning, Old Bay® seasoning, and the sauteed mixture and mix well. Shape mixture into 4 to 6 patties.

Reduce heat source to medium-low and grill burgers for about 15 minutes, turning frequently. To check for doneness, insert an instant-read thermometer through the side of the burger until you reach the center. The internal temperature should be at least 165º F.

Toast buns on grill for 30 to 45 seconds, or until golden.
7.
Serve on buns with lettuce, condiments of your choosing and fries. Garnish the top of each burger with 1 whole shrimp secured with a wooden pick.
