- 250 grams Lentils
- 1 l Beef broth
- 250 grams smoked Bacon (finely diced)
- 3 smoked Hot dogs (cut in slices)
- 1 tsp clarified butter
- ¼ Celery root
- 3 carrots
- 2 stalks Leeks
- 4 Tbsps Herb vinegar
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
Preparation steps
1.
Soak lentils overnight in a bowl of water.

Peel celery and finely chop.
3.
Peel carrots and cut into thin slices.
4.
Rinse leeks, trim and cut white and light green portions into rings.
5.
Drain lentils and place in a pot. Cover with broth, cover pot and simmer for about 20 minutes. Add carrots and celery and cook covered for about 30 minutes.
6.
Fry bacon and sausage in a pan with melted butter, then add to the pot, mix and season everything with sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper. Simmer for another 3 minutes. Serve in bowls.
