Iced Tea and Apple Drink
Ingredients
- Ingredients
- 8 fresh leaves mint
- 2 tsps loose black Tea leaf
- 6 centiliters Lime juice
- 4 Tbsps Rock sugar
- 32 Lemon ice cubes (each from 5 cl lime and lemon juice and 4 cl sugar syrup)
- 8 centiliters Apple juice
- ice cold mineral water (carbonated)
- Tea bag
- mint (for garnish)
Preparation steps
For the tea syrup, rinse the mint leaves and pat dry. Add the mint and the tea to a tea bag. Add 350 ml (approximately 12 ounces) of water, the lime juice, and the rock sugar to a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil, add the tea bag, and simmer gently for 5 minutes over medium heat. Remove the tea bag and let the syrup simmer another 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and cool completely.
For the lemon-lime ice cubes, mix the lime juice, lemon juice, and sugar syrup with 400 ml (approximately 13 ounces) of water. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays and place in the freezer for at least 12 hours.
Crush 3/4 of the lemon-lime ice cubes, then place in glasses. Add 5 cl (approximately 2 ounces) of the tea syrup and 4 cl (approximately 1 1/2 ounces) of the apple juice into each glass. Top the glasses with 2-3 mint leaves, then top with the mineral water. Garnish the drinks with the remaining ice cubes, mint, and rock sugar. Stir gently before consuming.
