- 600 grams lamb (leg)
- 2 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 2 large onions
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp cloves (ground)
- 1 tsp Cardamom (ground)
- 1 heaping Tbsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 tsp cilantro (ground)
- 1 generous pinch allspice (ground)
- ½ tsp Cumin (ground)
- 2 tsps Turmeric (ground)
- 1 tsp fresh chili peppers (finely chopped)
- 2 Tbsps Tomato paste
- 50 grams unsalted Cashews (ground)
- 70 grams finely ground almonds
- 250 milliliters water
- 100 milliliters Whipped cream
- 100 milliliters Yogurt (0.1% fat)

Preparation steps

Cut lamb into 3-4 cm (approximately 1-2 inxh) cubes.Finely chop garlic cloves. Peel onion, halve, cut into thin half-rings.

Heat oil in a pan. Saute onion, cloves and cardamom until onions are translucent. Add meat, garlic and ginger and saute for about 4-5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add remaining spices and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes and add tomato paste and ground almonds. Pour water, stir well and add cream and cashews. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 45 minutes on medium heat. Add water as needed. Consistency should be creamy at the end of cooking. When meat is tender, add yogurt and reheat. Serve with rice.
