For the lamb chops
12 Lamb cutlets
1 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp olive oil
salt
freshly ground peppers
For the mashed potatoes
800 grams potatoes
2 garlic cloves
1 Tbsp butter
150 grams Crème fraiche
6 Tbsps olive oil
2 tsps rosemary (chopped)
1 Tbsp finely chopped parsley
salt
freshly ground peppers

Preparation steps

1.

For the mashed potatoes, peel garlic and coarsely chop. Thoroughly scrub potatoes, peel and cook with garlic in boiling salted water until knife-tender, about 25 minutes.

For the lamb chops, remove rib bones from meat.

3.

Drain potatoes and mash with butter, creme fraiche and olive oil using a potato masher. Season with salt and pepper and stir in herbs. Keep warm.

4.

Cook lamb chops in a large pan with butter and oil in portions. Season with salt and pepper.

5.

Serve lamb chops with mashed potatoes.

6.

If desired, drizzle mashed potatoes with olive oil.
