700 grams lamb (shoulder)
75 grams smoked Bacon
salt
freshly ground pepper
2 onions
1 garlic clove
4 Tbsps vegetable oil
1 Tbsp Tomato paste
200 milliliters beer
200 milliliters lamb stock (from a jar)
150 grams green Beans
700 grams small, red potatoes
Basil (for garnishing)

Preparation steps

Scrub potatoes thoroughly and cook in salted water until knife-tender. Drain and let cool until lukewarm.

Cut lamb into bite-sized cubes, season with salt and pepper. Finely dice bacon. Peel onions and garlic and chop finely. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a saucepan and brown lamb pieces and bacon on all sides. Add onions and garlic and saute briefly. Add tomato paste, beer and simmer, covered, for about 30 minutes.

Rinse beans, clean and cook for about 10 minutes in boiling salted water, drain, rinse with cold water and drain again. Add beans to lamb about 10 minutes before the end of cooking, season with salt and pepper.

Heat remaining oil in a large pan, halve potatoes and brown on cut sides. Add potatoes to the stew and keep warm.

5.

Rinse and dry basil, chop coarsely. Sprinkle stew with basil and serve.
