- Ingredients
- 1 day-old White roll
- 3 onions
- 800 grams mixed Ground meat
- 50 grams green Bacon
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp Mustard
- breadcrumbs (as needed)
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 300 grams Cherry tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp freshly chopped Basil (for garnish)
Preparation steps
1.
Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 375°F). Soak the bread in cold water. Peel the onions and cut into small cubes. Squeeze the bread and mix with the minced meat, diced onion, bacon, eggs, mustard, and breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper. Pour the mixture into a small loaf pan lined with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour.
2.
Meanwhile, rinse the tomatoes and pat dry. After 50 minutes of baking, distribute the tomatoes on top of the meatloaf and season lightly with salt and pepper. Take the finished meatloaf out of the oven, carefully remove from the mold and place on a plate. Sprinkle with basil and serve sliced.
