6 cloves garlic cloves (peeled and crushed lightly)

Preparation steps

1.
Arrange the sardines in a large oval bowl. Cover with the lemon juice.
2.
Tuck the lemon and red pepper slices amongst the fish and on top. Pour the olive oil in then arrange the garlic cloves in the dish. Garnish with the parsley leaves.
3.
Cover and chill for at least 24 hours before serving.
