1.
Peel the onions, cut into eighths. Rinse chile, cut into thin rings. Bring onions, chile, vinegar and water to a boil.
2.
Stir in honey, 1/2 teaspoon salt and spices. Let simmer over medium heat, stirring, for 20 minutes. Allow to cool, season with salt and pepper.
