Boil the sugar and water while stirring for 1 minute. Then remove from heat and pour in the rosemary and bay leaf and allow to cool for at least 30 minutes.

Rinse the apples and pears, cut into quarters, remove the core and then cut into wedges. Mix with a little of the syrup and serve in bowls.
