- ¾ cup butter
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 eggs
- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 tsps Baking powder
- 3 ozs plain Yogurt
- 25 ozs Plum (pitted, thickly sliced)
Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Grease a 20cm x 35cm|8" x 14" baking tin or dish.

Beat together the butter, sugar and vanilla until creamy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time until blended.

Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.

Stir into the butter mixture alternately with the yoghurt.
5.
Put into the tin and arrange the plums on top, lightly pressing them in.
6.
For the crumble: mix together the flour, sugar and cinnamon.
7.
Stir into the melted butter to form a lumpy mixture. Place spoonfuls on top of the cake.
8.
Bake for 40-50 minutes until golden and cooked through. Cool in the tin and cut into squares to serve.
