400 milliliters water
6 Tbsps sugar
2 Tbsps honey
4 Tbsps finely chopped almonds
2 Tbsps Shredded coconut
3 Tbsps finely grated ginger
1 Tbsp Ghee
2 Tbsps toasted slivered almonds

Preparation steps

1.

Peel the pears, cut in half, remove the cores and slice into wedges. Combine the water and sugar in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Poach the pears in the boiling water until tender. Remove from the water, pat dry, place in serving bowls and drizzle with rosewater. 

2.

Heat the ghee in a pan and sauté the grated ginger briefly. Add the chopped almonds and shredded coconut and sauté until toasted. Stir in the honey, mix well and spoon the warm mixture over the pears. Garnish with the toasted almonds and serve immediately.
