400 grams Cherry tomatoes
1 Tbsp butter
1 tsp sugar
8 Tbsps balsamic vinegar
1 bunch Basil
4 Tbsps olive oil

Preparation steps

1.

Peel the potatoes and cut into slices. Wash the tomatoes, cut in half. Heat the butter in a pan, and caramelize the sugar in it. Add the tomatoes cut side down and caramelize slightly. Deglaze with balsamic vinegar. Rinse the basil, shake dry, and pluck leaves from stems.

2.

Combine the potatoes, tomatoes, basil and oil and season with salt and pepper. Arrange the salad in 4 screw-top jars, close tightly and take to a picnic.
